Oman is a beautiful country and one of the oldest Arab countries located in the south eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It is strategically located bordering the Arabian Sea, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Oman is ruled by Qaboos Bin Said Al Said since 1970, his extensive modernisation programme has opened the country to the outside world. The Sultanate's political and economic stability attracts local and foreign investments and promote its industries. One of the industries is tourism in which Oman has grown considerably due to its natural landscapes such as the Ras Al Hadd & Dhofar beaches, the Jabal Shams (Sun Mountain) and beautiful islands such as the Al – Dimaniyat Island and the Masirah Island.
Oman is also famous for its Khanjar Knives (traditional curved daggers) which are worn during holidays as part of ceremonial dress. The khanjar is also on the Omani national flag.

It is estimated that Oman's total population is 3,300,600 of which 30% are expatriates from countries such as India, Pakistan, Egypt & Jordan. Around 50% of the population live in the capital city Muscat and the Batinah coastal plain north-west of the capital.
OMAN EMPLOYMENT VISA
Like other gulf states, in order to work in Oman, you will need to be sponsored by your employer. Your employer will take care of much of the administration as it will be their responsibility. In order to obtain an employment visa you must be at least 21 years old.
